Ron has resided in the Antigo, Langlade county area for most of his life. He is married to Laurie (Lafferty) Welnetz. He has five children, Christopher, Cami, Khala, Kirk and Chandice and is very proud of them all. Ron and Laurie have ten grandchildren, Hunter, Nevin, Dane, Ivy, Lola, Mack, Finn, Nolan, Henry, Liam, and one more on the way. Ron has a home located near an area lake and one on Upper Post Lake and enjoys fishing and hunting and especially camping with his family during the autumn season. The beautiful colors and cooler weather are the main reason he endures the winter months. However, ice fishing on a sunny day when the temps are between 10-30 degrees cannot be beat.

Ron has been in the real estate business since 1996 while owning and managing his own office since 1997. He was the President of the Woodland Lakes Association of REALTORS from 2006 – 2015 and the Association Executive from 2010 – 2015. Ron most recently served as the president of the Greater Northwoods Association of Realtors and served on the board of directors. Ron earned the CRS-Certified Residential Specialist, GRI-Graduate-REALTOR Institute, CRB-Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager certifications and the MRP-Military Relocation Professional. He is an active member of the Wisconsin REALTORS Association and the National Association of REALTORS. Ron is a donator to and big supporter of RPAC-REALTORS Political Action Committee because he believes in fighting for your rights as a homeowner!
